Salzburg, Rose English and Turrell’s Skyspace – Blue Pearl.
Our three day itinerary included the Museum de Moderne – we visited both locations, followed by Hohensalzburg Castle and a random decision to attend a concert at the Salzburg Art Association. This trip was a little bit more low key. I didn’t want to do a ton of sightseeing mainly because I was flying back to the states that Sunday and the first leg of my trip I knew I’d be pretty beat from the jet lag – and I was.

James Turrell, Blue Pearl Skyspace at Museum de Moderne. The work is only accessible during the museums hours which was kind of a let down because many of the skyspace works are meant to be experienced during sunrise or sunset as the light is shifting.

Installed camera obscura at Museum de Modernes other location for the "New Images. A New Epoch. History of Early Photography in Salzburg (1839–1877). A guest appearance of the Salzburg Museum" exhibition. This show reminded me of my love for photography and it's history. It was very cool to learn more about the history of photography in Austria specifically.
